Posts: 299 | Good choice with Viva Pinata. It's very addictive and fun for all the family (not that i'd know much about that subject).
In terms of actual games, i'd get her something like Kameo or maybe even Sonic the Hedgehog. They're quite appealing games for someone who doesn't have that much experience with recent games. Most of the other Xbox 360 titles are shooters which wouldn't go down too well, I think.
Another few possible candidates are Amped 3 and Project Gotham Racing 3. The Amped series has never really inspired me, but I decided to take a risk by buying the third title because of an article I read in a magazine and I didn't regret it for a second. It's a snowboarding game but it's fairly easy to control and the humourous elements are just OTT hilarious. The game doesn't take itself very seriously, but the humour is definately hit-or-miss. Most love it, some hate it. Project Gotham Racing 3 is probably one of the best racing titles out there in my eyes. It's not too realistic and not too arcadey. There's a good balance and online, it's probably the friendliest title you'll ever play with. I've never had any problems with anyone in it. Something I can't say about the majority of titles these days. Definately a possible Live candidate if you're considering going online.
As for the Arcade, if you're relatively retro you'll probably recognise most of the titles. From Robotron 2084 to DOOM, there's plenty of classics on there.
If I was you i'd go with:
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved (addictive, easy to play and beautiful)
Marble Blast Ultra (something a little bit different)
Hope i've helped! |
