I remember hearing about this..

I think I had played CS for about 5+ years or so. Even though the graphics on CS 1.6 are very outdated, the gameplay is what keeps you hooked.

It's fun how you're able to get scrims and matches with your team or friends. But the biggest thing that made CS a big success was... allowing users to create their own content such as, Maps and Mods. Without that, I don't think I would've been able to keep playing the same maps that came with the game.

I really hope CS:S makes its way onto the 360 sometime this year or atleast release some news about it.
