Its universally acknowledged that Americas justice system is a joke. As is the U.K. except here sentances for major crime are pathetic.
The truth is in the U.K. the law is. as follows:
A person being attacked by another may defend themselves with as much force that is necessary to save themselves from further harm.

Admitedly there are negative meanings: free from restraint. (may or may not be a good thing);licentious (which certainly isnt) but these are very much in the minority! Whats more important than your understanding of the meaning is that in the opinion of lexicographers, to be liberal is to have positive values not based on judgementalism or narrow-mindedness. Are you a Lexicographer?
I am liberal defined by THE meaning not YOUR meaning. You have no idea what my political views are all I have posted in these threads are moral imperatives so I think I'm better suited to tell you my political stance than you tell me.
And as we are on opposite sides of the pond our political views have no bearing whatsoever on eachothers lives so who gives a flying?
