dude, theyve had ps3's that havent worked out of the box. everything has an ureliable rate. yea the 360's problems have been highly publicised, but that doesnt mean the ps3 isnt having its problems too. the 360 does not have the most console problems ever.. the PS2 had a multitude of problems out of the box.. if i remember correctly, werent alot of them recalled? anyone remember? the more high tech a device is, the more likely it is to die on ya. ive still had mine cince day one, use it alot, and have never had a problem.


also, its not a problem of being japanese or american. many japanese cars, ala honda/nissan/toyota, are made in america anyways, many american things are made in japan and china. it has to do with quality of manufacturing which is company specific. It also has to do with american companies being buried in overpowered unions
