Posts: 841 | Well I have one and I do enjoy it. But from your list there it might be worth waiting a bit on. Not that I don't think it is a great system. But for what it is right now, I don't think you would enjoy it. There are not a lot of games, but this will change. Resistance, MotoStorm, and VF5 are good. Beyond that there is not a lot, IMO. If you compare Live to the PS3 online service it kind of sucks. Works ok, but a lot of games don't support online right now. But again, this is changing by the day. As for the non-HDTV stuff I can't really help. I have only used mine on a HDTV. But considering it is a blu-ray DVD player I would have to say HDTV would be better. But is probably not required (much like the 360).
Last I would recommend you don't get rid of your 360. Right now and probably for the next while (possibly forever) it is by far the more put together system. Games, live, etc. Just can't be beat.
Again, I think the PS3 is a great system. But it has just launched and it has some growing pains that they need to sort out. If you have the cash I say go for it. If it is going to be tight, wait a while as I don't think you will be missing out on anything for the next few months.
Good luck~
