Guys, Gears of War is not THAT bad. You guys must be really picky, because I still play the game almost everyday ,and i've met a ton of great people through Gears. Granted the storyline wasn't amazing, but the actual singleplayer game was good, exciting, and the co-op was fun as hell. The game is a sweet game! You do find your share of asshats online, but they are nothing when you compare to the amount of overall decent people. And as far as gameplay goes, online is fun playing with a team(who communicates), elbowing someone in the face, blasting people in half, or sniping peoples heads off. The graphics are also very good!! As far as my opinion goes on this game, it's a good one. The people who do ruin it are the glitchers, and map-leavers. They are the ones who give this game a bad name, and most of the time(for me anyways) it doesn't even happen alot.

In my opinion, just rent the game. It won't hurt, and you might find yourself really liking it!

Rainbow 6: Vegas is a good game for online play. They have a few different gamemodes, so you can vary what type of game type you want to play. It has an active community, meaning you can usually always find a game/nice people. Alot of customization with your gear- gun customization, armor, grenades, etc. The graphics are good, and the levels are good. The developers have been releasing updates and new maps to download(not free), and the new content is made well.

The singleplayer story is good, and should make you a happy camper. It's a tactical shooter, so you should be tactical. If you've played the other Rainbow Six games, it's similiar to those(commanding your team, swat style) but adds a new 360 control type of flare to it. It's a very fun game(as is Gears). My only gripe is that the ending sucked a$$. But other than that, it's fun & well received.

BOTH games are great games. Both are different types of games too. Comparing the two isn't possible. But I do know they are both deserving at least a try-out.
