Yeah sucks ass, and even in my experience the "top model" mission don't show up on the map if you pass them sometimes, kinda weird. So I always do those right away even if i'm in the middle of something. Once I pass a hitch hiker it stays on the map. And the delivery and package ones pop up randomly for me...
