Posts: 35 | It really depends how much you love mecha I suppose. I'm a big fan so I got into it straight away.
I got both the original and LOC at the same time and being online made the learning curve for the controller a lot easier I thought. The community was really friendly and helpful even down to lessons to get you used to the basics.
Really I've never played anything like it and if the controller wasn't so cumbersome I'd probably play it more. It's just such a chore getting it out when you want to play and putting it back when you're done.
The satisfaction you get from doing well in it is like nothing else I think. The controller just gives you a level of involvement beyond anything else and you get a real sense of pride when you pull off a complex manouver cause of the dexterity required.
If anyone else was tempted to lash out the funds and fancies one last thrash before they switch off the campaign servers let me know. Once more for old times sake wont hurt.
