Now MSoft has been innovative as well, including unparalleled online play with a built in modem for the system, IMO, the best controller to date, and a HDD. That was for the original Xbox. Sony hasn't done too much, per se, but the fan base is huge. All things considered, though, I do see Sony losing its edge, and if Nintendo can get back into premier status, I wouldn't be disappointed at all. I think we can all agree that MSoft is going to be staying in the gaming community for a while. Unless the 360 launches with a bunch of bugs and just kills itself. I'd still go to Nintendo if that happened. | Don't forget, a lot of their fanboys are only fanboys because of the 'exclusive titles' they've been sacraficing their virgin cows to. Most of them don't even realize they aren't "Sony" titles, or 989 Studios, or SOE, or whatever they call themselves now.
Companies like Squaresoft only defected from Nintendo because the new CD system offered more storage, and I guess decided to shaft Sega in the process. I imagine quite a few Sony fanboys are still confused from when they heard MGS2 was on the Xbox and FFXI is coming to the Xbox 360. I'm reading some of the PS forums right now and you wouldn't believe the things they're ranting. Unbelievable. |
