I think the balance is in just being an aware parent. I love to have fun and play with my daughter, but there also comes times when I have to let her know right from wrong. Its not about being a friend, its not about being an authority figure. I think those things will just come and mesh together if you are just a dilligent parent.

exactly right agreed that is the kind of parenting more people need to inforce with children.
