Also, if you do some research you'll discover that 300 or even 400 isn't an out of the ordinary launch price for a new console. Most consoles were released for that initial price including the Xbox and Ps2. At least I think so, don't quote me on that. The highest a console was ever released for was 1000$ US and that was several years ago. I saw this chart on price inflation with the consoles, I'll try to find that again, it's really interesting.

As for the PS3 I don't know how much it will be, and I don't know if Sony can afford to sell it with much of a loss. All I know is it will be "expensive" according to Sony, unless they lied again. Considering how the systems will initially start off the same anyways, and the fact the Xbox 360 will be out much longer before the PS3's release you may just be better off getting a 360. In my opinion you should figure out what you really want out of a gaming system and going from there.

Yes, sadly few people know that these consoles will be more powerful than any computer can be in at least a year.

Plus, a couple of things that may pursuade you, you can turn the console on and off with your controller!!!!!!!!

The DVD drive has been upgraded (It ISN'T the same one in the Xbox) meaning load time are faster....

and, I honsetly don't understand how anyone can think PS titles are better than Xbox titles...
How can anything compete with PGR3, Elder Scrolls, PDZ, Halo 3, Gears of War? (I know there are more good titles, just typing kinda quickly).
