Simple solution...don't send it back. As Malo "the idiot" said, how can they tell you what they are going to fix without ever having seen your console? If you're paying for a repair, you have a right to know what they are doing. Getting repaired pro bono...not so much. Stop worrying. They are going to fix it right, lest they have to pay to repair it again.
