The PS3 is a tough console to develop for, so when developers go multi-platform, the PS3 gets the short end of the stick. PS3 owners get rushed games. They get ports rather than true, quality games. The games have lag, lack of content, whatever.
However, it will not always be this way. It is slowly changing. Unreal Tournament III is supposed to be very good and no port by any means. It's probably the first time a game came out for the PS3 first rather than the 360 and actually run great too. The fact you can transfer PC mods onto the PS3 version is a big plus too (modding is huge for the Unreal world).
2008 is the year for Sony to TRY and come back into the game. If MGS4, GT5, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone 2 and all the others can't do it, I don't know what will. Sony has some great titles coming out, it's just taking a ****ing eternity for it to happen.
I personally will get a PS3 sooner or later, because I'm a gamer first. Although I have a sneaking suspicion that my parents picked me up one for Christmas. If so, then hey... I'm not gonna say "take it back" or some ****. The more the merrier I say.
