Based completely on heresay, but Ive read peoples complaints about exactly what you are speaking of and their diagnosis in alot of cases is their wireless network adapter. I dont have one myself though and dont know the people complaining.

I do have a friend that works with me who has one and I definately have more problems with him then anyone else, come to think of it. That would explain alot, (Im thinking out loud here) as to why we drop so much. So yes, I would say there is a chance it will cause you problems.

I want one but only so my xtra 360 upstairs can connect to my network and so I can get DL content for my single player games that I play upstairs like Mass Effect. I wont be using it for online play. I do that downstairs on the LCD already.
