okay. first of all i connected to xbox live at home over christmas break and now im at school and xbox live will not work on my 360. The rules set by my school require that the gaming console be registered with our computer center then they provide a personal ip address as well as a gateway and subnet mask. i have all of this information. but when i run the network tests the mtu fails. the comptuer center here at school informed me that the schools mtu is set at 1500 so there shouldn't be a reason why the xbox is having problems. also, the xbox connects straight to the ethernet port in the wall, not using a computer or a router. i had no trouble using wireless while at home and unfortunately my school doesn't support wireless in the dorms yet. also, my school says that my xbox is pinging the school server, which they don't allow because it takes up to much of the network. they told me if i could bypass the pinging i could get on the network. they instructed me that it has been done before but that they cannot give out the information to me because they don't support assistance on gaming consoles.. everyone else i know has not had a problem logging onto the server with their xbox 360...is there ANYONE that can help me please...?
