The first sniper rifle and the .50 cal are both 1 hit kills if you hit the stomach area and above which isn't too hard for a good sniper. And if all Sniper Rifles were 1 shot kills they would be way too overpowered bc its easy as hell to get one shot off. I think Infinity Ward learned from Treyarchs mistake. For example, in COD3 with a Sniper you can easily go 80-6 in a match compared to a heavy armor which would normally get like 38-18. The points is, the team with the most snipers won. (Which is *** since the whole multiplayer aspect of cod3 was based on camping, get 4 shots off, move, repeat.)
