i don't know about the 360 packs, but most rechargeable batteries, they last longer if you cycle through them...bring them down to almost empty before charging them back up, then unplugging them when they full. i know some newer equipment stops the charge, so it doesn't continue to send a charge. i have lost some good batteries leaving them on the charger after they full.

i know the instructions say it takes a couple fills to fully maximize the length of time between charges on the controller packs. so the first few will be shorter, but then gain in length between charges.
