Dear God. I just saw the worst movie ever made. It is called Barbarella: Story of a Space Whore.
Maybe back in 1968 it was cutting edge, but it sure didn't age well, just like Hanoi Jane, who plays barbarella. The story isn't worth mentioning, cause i had no idea what the hell was going on...i think LSD is a requirement before watching this movie. Shag carpeting and silver boots are not in short supply with this movie.
Um, the good parts...well, she has nice legs, and wears some interesting outfits (Dr. Evil got some ideas from this movie for sure). It also has the most boobie shots i have ever seen in a PG movie--yes, PG with boobie shots. If it is ever your misfortune to watch this movie, you can see parts of this movie in other movies, if that makes sense. the guy she was after is named duran duran...hmmmm.
i would recommend never watching this movie, unless you want a look back in time at a snapshot of 1968: psychedelic, anti war overtures (vietnam was in full swing), sex with hairy men, bad, bad clothing, and a horrible soundtrack. i would almost say watch it if you wanted a laugh, i think it tries to be funny.
Highlight of the movie: when she was attacked by parakeets and finches...and they ripped most of her clothes off. have to give them mad props for parakeet attacks.
i'd give it a 2/10. Pepper Jack would give it an 8.
