It is set on Earth in the future where androids/ "replicants" are being made to serve humans (not like I Robot). Four of them go off the grid and start killing people. Harrison Ford is brought in to track down and kill them. This is a challenging task because the replicants are designed to closely resemble humans in all aspects. This is a VERY basic description of the plot, a lot of thought went into this film.

STOP READING IF YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE FILM AND WANT TO.

For those who have seen this movie I was wondering if anyone has thoughts on the theory that Harrison Ford's character was actually a replicant himself. What clues in the movie led to that hypothesis?
well, he was. the biggest indicator ford was a replicant is the fact the director came out and said he was--i believe it was in the 90's. but, before that, the big scene that led to it all was the unicorn dream, and then Olmos' character makes the unicorn at the end of the movie. you can buy that new dvd set with like 8 dvds in it that have every version imaginable and shload of stuff you haven't even thought of.
