Posts: 1,481 | so i got dragon quest swords the other day. i was excited for a new RPG based on this series. however, there are some big differences. you don't have the freedom to explore (when you go on your 'missions' you are stuck to a single path, but it does look like you can reply the 'levels' at some point), and it is first person. The combat is real time, and it took me some time to get used too. but you can block enemy attacks with a shield you can pull out. the people in your party don't do much though...i never saw him attack anything, and he would occasionally heal me.
it was kind of fun; i put about 2 hours into it last night. i am not sure how large the game is.
graphic wise, it is the same cell shading as DQ 8 was, and it doesn't really look any better then the ps2 game did.
