It shouldn't be free - but there's no way that a 128kbs tune should be worth £.079 or even $0.99. | i'm not defending anyone here, but albums do cost a lot to produce. and a lot of albums can take up to a year in the studio. most of your top Billboard talents easily put in over a mil just to make an album. and record companies don't usually make much profit on record sales anyway since you can't always have your album go platinum. it's mostly a good gauge as to how much they will make from touring where the real money is made. and i like the $0.99 downloadable songs because most people don't want every song on a record. so you get to pick and choose and actually spend a lot less than buying the whole thing. |
