Yep, I'm one of the ones that had the bricking of my console after the COD4 update. Amazing, I didn't blame the update but technically its all I did and it died.

So you said you got a brand new elite. You can request a migration cable from MS as well, so by the time you get your console back, you'll get the cable as well.

I was almost going to buy a new core yesterday but decided to just wait it out. I shouldn't have to shelve out cash for a new console each time my 360 breaks, its not right.

ANyway, what is the manufacture date of your new console? ALso, whats the lot number on the Box, and whats the power supply rating on the power supply, ie OUTPUT, 203W or 175W?

Just want to know if the Elite you bought may potentially be a falcon.
