a simple test might also be to try a different outlet for your unit? if what boost posted is correct about it safeguarding to much power coming it, maybe that outlet is shot. try to find an outlet on another circuit and see if that might fix it up.

Yes I used a Monster surge protecter for years. When I received the new power brick, I used straight outlet and tried different outlets at home and my work. I think its my xbox. I called and that said they would fix it for $99. Dont know if I would want to spend the money to get it fixed just for it to mess up again when I could buy a new one for a little more. I dont know what Im going to do!
