Yes I used a Monster surge protecter for years. When I received the new power brick, I used straight outlet and tried different outlets at home and my work. I think its my xbox. I called and that said they would fix it for $99. Dont know if I would want to spend the money to get it fixed just for it to mess up again when I could buy a new one for a little more. I dont know what Im going to do!
