Default Mods on PX360

Fair on Unfair?

I would just like to know what the general view of members opinions are on them, if 99% of members think they are doing a great job then that will have to shut people like me and alex up, so its not that Im out to flame the mods and get myself banned, I just thought we should have a discussion. A forum is made up of the members in it, not just the mods.

Personally the way I see it, a certain pair of mods are trying to suck the life out of the forums, by nitpicking the immature comments and arguements that make this site a bit of craic. If they have thier way the only 'New Posts' on this forum will be infraction threads.

The amount of regular long-time members has dropped big time the last year, and it really does seem that apart from green names theres not a huge amount of activity in the ShoutBox or forums. Im sure some will say this is a good thing but it turns into a very lame site when all it is, is mods.

I think some mods get bored and decided to amuse themselves by messing with the banning system and if their in a akward mood, they would be happy to ban half the site that dont agree with them. All mods should do is delete spam(which I might add, there is alot of spam threads that remain open for hours, and theres not a mod in sight. then of course they ALL hop on the forum at the same time for a bit of banter and leave, not really doing anything for the forum).

Im aware of the amount of work some of the mods and writers but into the Reviews/Previews and PodCasts and fair play to them for that, but on the whole I think there are to many Mods that act like members(joking about, slagging each other ect.) but then when something comes up they dont like the topic off, they go very modlike and preachy and start handing out warnings.

If mods want to have a god complex and start acting like its a prison forum, then they have to pick to be professional in there actions all the time, not when it suits.

Gee is a perfect example of a mod, he deletes threads and posts when someone is asking a question or such, he doesnt get involved in the petty stuff that goes on, and just gets on with his job.

Rant over
(And if i get a infraction, or this thread is deleted or closed then I think it sums up exactly what Im getting at)
