The blueprint for the digital future of film is already written in the recent history of its music-based cousin. | you forgot 1 important part of my ideal. the download speeds. MP3's didnt take off while everyone was on AOL dialup. They took off when you could download them in a few seconds. Until DSL goes away and cable becomes the slow guy (when fiberoptic is availible everywhere) Digital downloads will be just an afterthought to those who have the speed and the tech knowhow. I'm sorry, but i dont think its going to be mainstream till kids are adults and the current gen of adults is in retirement villages. |
