Blu-ray will cost a sh*tload of money for an every day person. Blu-ray New releases will cost U$40+ nearly double than what you would expect to pay for a new release now.
Blu-ray will only appeal to hardcore movie buffs who have lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
