HDTV requires that you sit 3 - 4 screen heights away from it. If that's what your room allows, then fine. However, in my gaming den, I sit about 3 - 4 feet away, which means 26" is pretty much the most I can get away with without it being too large.
People think size is everything when it comes to TVs. Actually, it is, but larger does not mean better. | I'm in the same situation as you Nomino. My gaming room is more like a cupboard and I only sit a few feet away from the TV. So I don't really need anything bigger than 26" to do the job. Plus the smaller TV's are quite a bit cheaper, around £500 in the U.K. compared to £900+ for anything above 32", so makes it a bit more acceptable when I suggest it to the wife
