hmm, not sure you're gonna get much luck here. the ps3 is gonna be just as catered to an older demographic than 360 if not more. personally, i think it will be more. factor in the notion that it's gonna cost serious $$$ and that it resembles more of a piece of enthusiast A/V equipment than simply a game machine...it becomes a bit more apparent that it's outside the scope of younger gamers.

if you're looking for something appropriate for your kids, i think the nintendo revolution would be the perfect solution.

besides, i couldn't imagine my parents shelling out over 600-700 bucks (console, extra controller, 2 games, tax) to buy me a new toy when i was younger.
Nintendo consoles are always a safe bet for the youngins.
