way more but it all depends on the strength of the router and you house. If you have a older house it might have thick walls and it also depends on any interferance you have. I suggest getting a wireless a router since it operates at a higer frequency and is less susceptable to Electromagentic interference. If you already own a router just buy a signal boaster and install it half way between the 360 and the router. I personally use old fashioned eternet since my linksys router sometimes locks up its ok if Im on my laptops but in the middle of gaming thats unacceptable so I perfer the ethernet cable. Some reason on my linksys router even if the wireless part locks up the wired part still functions perfectly. I asked my dad if he can route a ethernet cable through the floor so you dont see a big blue ethernet cable going from my laundry room around the family room up the fireplace and into the 360. THen my dad repleid how bout you put the 360 in your room. I was like about I keep it pluged to the HDTV in the family room and you and mom can put up viewing an ugly blue eternet cable snaking around the house and explain to the guest what that is. And its been there for the last 3 months. Im pretty sure I can route it myself since my house is new and doesnt have the basement finish so I can route the wires with the other ethernet wires that were installed by the builders. O well I dont really care about looks its my mom that always complains and even considered moving the big screen into my room and I was so happy and then my dad said no.
