He means the sig you make for someone,not your actually forum sig.
You don't have to post it as a thumbnail,but it's easier than having to put it in your photoshare website before posting it on here,but which way you want to post the sig is up to you.
Also can people use their own photo-share website(Photobucket etc.) to host their sigs on the site,don't hotlink them straight from this thread,cause if any changes are made to this thread it may effect your forum sig.
if you don't know what hotlinking is then do a search on Google.
