I don't know if any of you know what this game is (it's actually a trilogy of games), but it's been in development for over 7 years. It was supposed to be released for the PSOne, but when the developer, Silicon Knights (MGS:TS, Eternal Darkness) became a second-party for Nintendo, they stopped to do Eternal Darkness. Here is the description from www.siliconknights.com:

The Too Human trilogy will immerse players into vast, expansive worlds where cybernetic gods and machine giants clash in epic battles for supremacy.

What is Too Human?
Too Human is a trilogy of video games coming out exclusively on Xbox 360. It is being developed by Silicon Knights and published by Microsoft. This FAQ will deal mostly with part one of the trilogy, since it's the only one we have info for at this time.

Part one is currently slated for release in the fall of 2006.

How long has Too Human been in development?
Orginally Too Human was going to be released in 2000 as a single game on Playstation 1. Development for that version most likely started in 1997 or 1998. When Silicon Knights became a Nintendo second party development for Too Human was halted. Denis Dyack, President of Silicon Knights explains it best:

"Originally, we were working on [Too Human] for PSone. When we became a second party for Nintendo, we stopped. We did some earlier prototyping on the GameCube, but we then went full dedication to Eternal Darkness and Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes. When we went our separate ways with Nintendo, we talked to some friends in Microsoft." (source)

Tell me something about the game.
Much of what we know about the game comes from this EGM article, where Denis Dyack (President of Silicon Knights) explains: "As the god Balder, players will explore the mythical setting in a long-forgotten futuristic past and engage in sweeping, epic battles while being immersed in oceans of organized enemies." Combine that with "cybernetic gods, machine giants and mortal men on a scale never before seen before seen", and we have a hit! Don't be fooled, Too Human will not be a simple God of War clone; the guys at Silicon Knights are master developers who will use their experiences with Nintendo and Konami to create the best game they can.

Yup. Silicon Knights announced that every game they make this generation will use Epic Games' Unreal Engine 3, including the Too Human trilogy.

I used to like the old version of Too Human, what happened to it?
It appears that the old story and characters are not going to be in the current version of Too Human. You can still be sure that Too Human will be smart, entertaining and addicting.. just like every other Silicon Knights game:

Dyack: "[Too Human] has changed tremendously. A lot of the stuff that's out there isn't relevant anymore. But we don't want to talk about details." (source)

Will Too Human have multi-player?
Yes, we know that co-op will be enabled over Xbox Live. No word yet on any other modes.

I thought Sega bought Silicon Knights, why is this being published by MS?
No. Some people have misread the news that came out about Sega partnering with Silicon Knights. The press release says "SEGA Partners with Silicon Knights to Create Next Generation Content; Acquisitions of Western Content Prime SEGA for Growth." This means they acquired western content, not a western developer.
