That's how Nintendo makes thier money in the handheld market. This is the listing of all thier portables they have released (I might have missed a couple):
GB
GB (casing was made in different colors)
GB pocket
GBC
GBA
GBASP
DS
GBA (with a brighter screen).
GB Micro
DS lite.
You would have to admit that, Nintendo isn't stupid though.
