*sigh*
Acquiesce, how about you are not only a 360 fan, but also a Nintendo fan? I mean, obviously you are a 360 fan as we see your GT and 360 blog, but then, above that is Mario and the Wii, coupled with "60". If you are not a Wii fan, then your avatar is grossly unrepresentative and your defensive statements here are suspiciously misleading.
Also, feel free to go back and read all my posts in this thread, then tell me where I attacked Nintendo. Seems to be it is pretty objective yet supportive to me. I don't blindly endorse products that are vaporware, nor do I praise them until the proof is manifested in the pudding. In this case, the Wii is vaporware pudding.
Perhaps the reason you do not like the terminology "souped up" because that isn't a word. Soup is soup. Souped is probably still soup just misspelled. Semantics and etimology lessons aside, the Wii is barely better than the Xbox in terms of system specs:

As a matter of fact, the CPU clocked 4Mhz slower than the original Xbox according to that IGN article. Still, it will offer better visuals than the current generation, but will not support HDtv, nor Dolby 5.1, nor many other functions that the other 2 are offering. So, in essence, you will get what you pay for; a suped up Xbox/GC. We can label the other two super-charged versions of the older models.
Now, the Wii comes with a new, untested gaming format that *could* revolutionize gaming as we know it. However, the Powerglove and other motion-based controllers failed to do that so we can't say for sure whether this Wiimote will be the next big shizz-biscuit. It does look interesting, it does have potential, but will it revolutionize the gaming industry? Well, this is where your opinions come in.
Blank facetiously opinionated that since Sony copied Nintendo's controller, then it must a step in the right direction. And if your buddy jumps off a bridge... Also, when doesn't Sony copy? Furthermore, and for the last time, if it is the next shizz-biscuit, then Sony is already set to trump the Wii when that tech takes off, as the Wii, graphically speaking, will not be up to par with the PS3. Remember, the Wii does not have the rights to better gameplay -- any developer can make a fun game, regardless of what console it is. So if you have the PS3 with the Wiimote, 5.1 surround sound, life-like visuals and all those other bells and whistles, what does the Wii have over it?
Now I to look forward to playing the Wii. I know my roots. But I can't justifiably say it'll make gaming any better. I liked the Powerglove too, I felt like the Terminator whenever I would use it, but that tech didn't work out for gaming either. So, there you have my reasons for not blatantly stating the Wiimote is the next shizz-biscuit.
