The only objection you may have are the games...there really arn't that many, but your best bet is the PSP, HUGE screen compared to the DS.
NOTE: this DS is very kiddish, if he is 17, I don't think he would like a DS, plus being 17 makes him old enough to buy GTA: LS for the PS  | Man you can atleast try the ds first, i believe the ds will appeal to more hardcore gamers who want something more out of there games and dont do the nintendo's for kiddies the point of games is that there fun  |
