Default PS3 doesn't support 1080i
Ok, so many people with older HDTV's will know that there TV's can only accept 1080 in an interlaced format. Looks like those people won't want to be buying a PS3...well, if they do get ready for 480p (Wii style) loveliness.

don't expect an auto-update to fix this since it's an internal hardware upscaling issue.
