I think you can list all sorts of differences between the two but that does not make one necessarily better then the other. With the 360 having over a year head start it certainly has a more well rounded online/live experience and a much larger game catalog. But that is "at this time". I would guess a year from now this will not be the case.
I think people just need to realize this is a no win argument and just let it go. It is like trying to argue Chevy vs. Ford, Apple vs. PC, Night vs. Day. There is no clear winner. Again, this is not to say you can't prefer one over the other. Personally I prefer my 360, drive a Chevy, and like to see the sun. But I just might buy a Ford someday. So what does it matter.
If you want a 360 get a 360, if you want a PS3 get a PS3. If you have a large amount of disposable income, get both. But regardless of what you end up with, enjoy it and respect the fact they are both good systems.
