Posts: 166 | Yeah the best option is to take to a local computer shop. More than likely they will have to contact Gateway and get a power supply sent from them to replace your current one. Most companies like that Gateway and HP especially use a smaller size power supply in their systems, which means you can't just go to any store like Staples or Best Buy and buy a regular power supply. |

Posts: 2,216 | I changed power supply on my gateway comp you need to find out what form factor you have ATX or Micro atx type tower and so forth then you will pretty much know what type of power supply to put in that will fit.

Posts: 306 | How hard is it to install the power supply myself because I live in a small town that doesn't have a computer shop. Also I found out was that it is a BTX case form factor.
