The reason PS2 has sold so many consoles, and continues to sell, is because Sony continues to make games for it (look at God of War II). PS3 was out for quite some time when God of War II came out for PS2. I don't see the same thing happening for either the PS3 or the 360 because why would MS or Sony focus on old consoles when they both have their new consoles out? Sony won't spend much time on the PS3 once their new console comes out like they did to the PS2, and MS will cut the 360 loose like they did the Black Box. The Wii is a different story because I don't think that Nintendo will be making another Wii. It it will be one of a kind and people will continue to buy the Wii, which will have an effect much like the PS2. |
