Posts: 2,799 | Cliff notes, fool! Cliff notes are essential to successful threads! I don't have Vista, and never will. I am currently using XP, and my MBP will run both Leopard OSX and Windows XP. I have heard many complaints from everyone I know that uses Vista and many are switching back to XP.

Posts: 5,352   | From all that I've been told, XP was a **** bucket after its release just as Vista is now. Perhaps more time is needed or might MS create an entirely new OS (which is what I have heard through the grapevine). For now my XP does just fine. |

Posts: 2,266 | it looks like the service pack 1 should be coming out pretty soon. took them long enough, but hopefully it fixes some of the bigger issues. probably be a 150 meg download though.

Posts: 2,266 | i had some issues with xp, but nothing to drastic, and nothing i couldn't really mess around with and fix. but with with vista, i don't know what to mess with to fix anything, and vista doesn't play well with others right now. like i have a bug in my video card/driver/something and i can't set my resolution to highest setting. i used to have it set highest on my desktop, but when i tried to do it in a game, it freaked out and started flashing. so i could run the game at 1 less then the highest. but now my desktop won't let me set it to the highest, and it had some bug. i removed hardware, reinstalled the drivers, got latest drivers...i don't know what else to do. dumb. never had this issue with xp; but is probably because everything works with xp.
