Posts: 2,248   |  Is it worth getting PS3 yet? Hey guys, I am on the fence right now as to buy a PS3 or not. What do all of you who have PS3's think of the system is it worth picking up? And how is the PSN network working out for you? Thanks for responses.

Posts: 332 | Hmm... I would say if you want a Blu-Ray player then yes. But I would probably wait until the Metal Gear bundle. It is also rumored that Microsoft might dropped the price on the Xbox soon so if that happens Sony might do the same thing. As far as games there is nothing spectacular on the scene yet but will be soon. I would probably wait unless you really want a particular game that is out now. PSN still sucks as far as features but online play is fine. |

Posts: 1,982 | Pretty much agree with Bobby Roc. I love the Blu-Ray player and this year the games are definitely coming. However, the one thing still remains and that is that the PSN is nothing compared to XBL and in all probability it never will be. Still, with the games coming out this year (GT5, Killzone 2, MGS4, LittleBigPlanet), you're going to want a PS3. So the question is whether to wait for a price-drop or get it now. Me personally, I love my PS3, but I also love my Xbox 360. Best of both worlds, I say. |

Posts: 5,094   | I don't think Sony will counter MS's reduction immediately but if you are interested I would look at the MGS4 bundles. It includes a DS3 controller and hopefully a ****ing HDMI cable. At $499 you are basically getting the game and DS3 controller free ninety free. |

Posts: 1,729  | I too have thought about getting a Ps3, I like the fact that there Online play is free and the Blu-ray....Plus there are a few games that the 360 doesn't have that look fun, now if only sony would have another price cut.

Posts: 1,982 | At first I was pissed about the HDMI cable, but considering mine only cost me 15 bucks plus shipping I really don't consider it that big of a deal. Walk into any retail store and an HDMI cable will run ya a bunch, but look around online (like monoprice.com) and you'll find a massive price difference at no expense of quality. Sure Sony could have included an HDMI cable, but they can't all be winners can they? |
