Well Sony officialized it... It seems that all the gossip/rumors about the new PS3 controller have pushed Sony to announce that the design for the controller was definite...

Sorry I don't have a link to the info (in fact I do, but it's in french so... the people who can read french can always take a look at it : http://www.presence-pc.com/actualite...ation-3-13068/)

Anyway, I guess Sony lovers who didn't like the design are going to have to live with it anyways!!!

And of course all the haters are gonna come back with all them jokes and animated gifs about it too!

I can't judge the controller until I try it myself - for all I know, it could be the best controller ever. But I doubt it. It looks awful and uncomfortable. But it can't be too bad if Sony are actually going to use it.

its shape is old and un original...it has the same or very close to the same of an old wired MS Sidewinder controller I used to have about 4 years ago. IMO if Sony couldn't think of anything better than this they just should have painted the current controller silver and called it the "dual shock 3"

Using MS word to translate the article from French to English, I got this. I would say that instead of lever you should insert controller.

I love the sony ps3, they are always come out with something that makes you say what the hell are they thinking and all you can do is laugh.

I just do not want to believe it... not that I am a Sony advocate, but this is only going to promote sales in the "Adult Only" section and will ultimately defeat MSoft.

Oh well, I guess I can't knock it til I tried it. I mean, for gaming purposes that is.

why do we need those extra 4 or so inches of plastic on the ends?? otherwise it looks like it might actualy be a decent controller, it just looks so funny. leae it to sony to overimbelish somthing with potential

Does it still have two shoulder buttons on each side? I can't really tell, from all the pictures I've seen it looks like they've cut out the two extra shoulder buttons

It'll have the two extra buttons, it'll need them if it's gonna be backwards-compatable with PS1 and PS2 games.

Like he said, I still plan on getting both systems. (well I have th 360, so just the ps3) But from the movies they showed at e3 and all the other expos to the actual in game video's I'm a little dissapointed. They almost gave me a heart attack with killzone 2 and what not, but now they just look like 360 games.
I dont know about that controller either, I think they are gonna change it last minute like they do with just about everything they do. But who knows, could be cool.

Also besides fact the controller looks horrible, its supposibly supports up to 7 of these boomerangs... can you imagaine? 7 little screens with weird controllers thats murder! For people who play on 30" of lower sized TVs better be good at seeing small things! (7 Screens, 30" TV... 5"s a Screen!)
But yea back on topic that thing is like a very mature.. way of pleasuring yourself? I guess I should say that instead of what I motioned for...

Yur supposed to use 2 TVs if you are gonna use 7 players. That short video of how to hold a ps3 controller was pretty interesting.
