well if you do 10 times 6 for one hour and then 60 times 24 for a day and then 24 times 7 for one weak and then 7 times 9 for 9 weeksthen you get 90720 so yea that is what i did it by.

There's no special way. It's a gamble. Basiclly the more caps you put in the higher the chance the computer will pick you as opposed to one cap. It's all luck, there's no "special" way. Also congrats live2flow!

Im not a winner, but no, you dont get it the next day. You get it the saturday before it comes aout according to the site. You get all d codes by buying lots of Pepsi's/Dews (I buy them at Albertsons for $1.29 each), asking people for their caps, or buyimg them off ebay. You find out how many points are in a drawing by looking at the bottom left of the square when you choose your ten minute time; its very obvious... You may only use ur codes once (there are no 2 identical codes). You may enter as many sweepstakes/drawings as you want.

There is no limit to the number of Codes that may be entered each day, however there is a maximum of 500 Codes that can be entered for the entire promotion.

It is better to enter 1 cap at a time. If you don't believe me, i'll give you an example.

Let's say you have 50 caps. And let's assume that there are 800 entries in the drawing you've chosen. You have several options:

1. Enter all 50. You then have a 50/850 chance of winning, a 5.88% chance.

2. Enter 10 caps 5 times. Your chance of losing each time is 800/810, so the chance of losing 5 times in a row is (800/810)^5 = 93.98%, thus your chance of winning is (1-chance of losing)=(1-93.98%) = 6.03% chance.

3. Enter 1 cap 50 times. Your chance of losing each time is 800/801, so the chance of losing 50 times in a row is (800/801)^50 = 93.94%, thus your chance of winning is (1-chance of losing)=(1-93.94%) = 6.06% chance.

You can repeat this with any number of caps, any number of entries, the results are always the same: You have a better chance of winning if you enter 1 cap per drawing.

Personally, I have entered 1 cap 40 or so times, and have yet to win. But I still have about 70 points that I can enter, I'm just waiting for a time where there are only 500-700 entries rather than the 1200 or so I've been seeing lately.

To me this doesnt really answer my question. Because technically the core system is a full system, is it not? Someone else should write them and ask in a different way, like what will be included with the system we are getting.

The odds favor people who enter a few codes at a time (1-10), but your personal odds are better if you drop all in at one slot. Ultamately, it's the total number of codes entered into a contest that has the greatest impact on your personal odds. Still, it's not intuative since most people would FEEL that having more opportunities to see your initials (now just city and state) is the smarter way to play. Not so.

I like arammadilo's calculations, but I prefer ones that include the effect of playing your codes in to the calculation. Arammadilo's example/calculations assume you can walk up to a time slot with 800 codes and add your own. The reality is that if you drop your codes into a specific time slot, that will affect the way others play their codes.

I would calculate the odds (copying arammadilo's example)

1. 50/800= 6.25% instead of 50/850 = 5.88% since dropping 50 into any given time slot is likely to keep 50 other people/codes from being entered into that slot. That's why there isn't a huge gap between your AVERAGE two consequtive time slots.

2. 10 caps five times in a row 1-(790/800)^5 = 6.1% instead of 10/810 five times = 6.03%

3. 1 cap 50 times 1-(799/800)^50 = 6.06% which is roughly the same 6.06%

My means of calculation aren't quite right either since you could find 50 - 800 slots and add your caps in at the last second in each vs. finding an 800 slot and drop all 50 in at the last second, but I think that neither idea captures what really happens when you actually play the game. Finding 50 low entry slots is a lot harder than one low slot so that's why I'd stick to the all-eggs-in-one-basket method. When I was playing though, I knew the feeling of putting everything into one slot and thinking, "what a waste" when I didn't win. That's when the feelings of "the more chances to see your name" take over.

Like I said though, the odds are with those dropping between 1-10 at a time. This is because there are just more of them. You could have 500 codes in on a 1001 total cap time slot and 501 people could have just one each. The odds are for one of those suckers to win even though your individual odds are better than any one of theirs.

I played 40 in the time slot that won it for me. There ended up being about 1100 total. My odds were really small. It was luck. :star:

Find a slot or slots with less than 1000 if at all still possible. Don't play on the weekend or durring prime time. The early a.m. slots have been good, but my buddy at work says he saw one go with less than 900 at ~6pm on thursday. He's not a complete idiot, but I still have my doubts. What I'd really like is an app or widget that could display all available slots and how many caps currently in each. And no, I'm not trying for another. I'm supporting some of my friends. Any idea if such a widget is possible?

I thought I won on 9/30 at 3:00 PM (I had 116 out of ~1800 entries and the winning town/state matches mine... Only about 1000 people in my town, most don't own computers). Anyway, I still haven't received my confirmation. How long does it take? I tried calling but all I get is a BS answer...

Im in the same boat. I think/hope I won at 9:30am on 9/30. It is a pain. Some posts I've read on other forums have people saying it took up to 8 days for confirmation. You have better odds than I do though. My city wins all the time and I only have 2 entered in my slot.

I called 1-877-370-2582 and got the Consumer Affairs division (this was after 7 PM EST) and I asked them if I won. THe operator took my name and address and came back on and told me "congrats". He knew what game I picked as well as what time I won. I mentioned that I had not yet received any notification and that my account history had not been updated... He said that they (Pepsi) had the confirmation done on Monday (Oct 3) and that I should have gotten something in my email and that my History should have been updated. I told him that neither had occurred and that I knew of several people that were in the same situation (were pretty sure they had won but had not received any type of confirmation). He sounded surprised (and a little bit upset) and asked me again if I had checked my account history (which I replied that I was checking it every 2 minutes for the past week).

Anyway, sounds like I won... Anyone who is still waiting should try calling the above number. I know that some operators are better than others (so good luck) but it sounds like something screwy is going on with the site / confirmations.

Well....that sucks. At least I don't have to wonder anymore. I called and reached a very helpful lady. She took my info and said that it wasnt me. She said Dayton was a big city and that she did have info for who won on that date.

my confirmation came in within 48 hours in my email, and then on the account history on 10 mins page. I put in 84 codes into drawing and won. the more you put better the chances. Do not waste putting 1 code at a time in, save them up and put them all in at once. I went through 180 caps and most of those were points I did with 1 at a time and that wasnt working. So I saved up and dumped them all into one drawing and won. Good luck the contest ends Oct 31 ! if you have to go dumpest hunting! thats what I did lol nasty and sad I know but who cares I won a xbox 360 because of it *runs across beach screaming* "I WON A XBOX 360!!" do what you have to, to win :)

I think I've put in 159 caps now. I've played them all minus I've got like 60 plays left right now. Can't decide if I should play them all in one or keep spreading them out. Think the most I put in one slot was 36 awhile back. And since I put in 1 in every slot for say 2-3 hours. Nothing working so yeah guess I may just go for broke again and dump them all in one. *sigh* I can afford one easy but it would be nice to win. well anyways. for those of u who think u won and have been waiting for a long time for confirm, dont give up hope... i won 9/29 morning and got confirmed today (14 days including weekends) so yeah, dont trust their bs 10 day thing. i was getting so worried because my town is so small and i entered 83 caps in that slot.

i think my 14 days for confirmation is new record. so dont give up!

I think that on average the notification is about a week. I think the further they get into the contest there is more codes they need to verify as valid codes. I had to wait 6.5 days for my notification but I can't imagine having to wait 14 days. Maybe its a secret plot by Pepsi to make you buy pop and enter more codes when they know you cant win another. Just kidding!!! Now that I've won one, everyone at work wants to get in on it. I won using 79 caps early in the morning however I spread them out in roughly groups of 10 entered throughout the day. Last I knew at 10 PM there were about 1750 other points entered and there was still at least 3 hours before the drawing. Regardless good luck to all of those that enter.

Well I won it by entering 1 cap in each drawing. I have a good source of caps--I had about 600 of them. It took me 170 to win, so I'm giving away the rest of the caps to friends. I got my confirmation after 8 days, which seems about average from what I've been reading. The only problem is recently all the drawings have had about 2000 people in them. I've checked at all times of the day, it doesn't get much better. But it was like that when I won with only one cap, so don't lose hope! Woot!

im trying in the canada (befirsttoplay.ca) i've read though that people have multiple accounts and are getting lots of codes using the no purchase necessary method. Which sucks but hopefully if you have multiple accounts they won't win, however then i guess noone gets the xboxes :P

I saved up codes and put 19 in this morning at like 5am-6am draw and didnt win :( At least havent had a confirmation back yet i think they are pretty quick with the CA ones.
