The HD DVD player cooks breakfast for you each and every morning. You can choose between scrambled eggs, bacon, or pancakes.

I definitely think it's worth the money. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day after all.

I'm glad that you found that to be funny. The HD DVD player lets you watch HD DVD movies. It has nothing to do with games. HD DVD movies are like normal DVD movies except that they have higher quality video.

The only problem is that there are not a lot of HD DVD movies available, so it doesn't make sense to purchase a player just yet. Nobody knows if it will catch on, and it's possible that in a few years they won't make any new HD DVD movies. I think you're better off putting your money towards games.

HD DVD is amazing. Better PQ generally than Bluray and a lot more movies than BR too.

Whereas BR standalone players are going for 1,000 to $1,500 and the (blech) PS3 is going for 500 to 600, you can pick up this HD DVD player for $160 with a Circuit City coupon. AMAZING value.

Got mine yesterday and the PQ is just as good as my A1 player.

Your sure about that?

Very sure. Today, the BD releases are starting to improve, but generally are still a step below HD DVD.

In the cases where an HD DVD studio releases a VC1 (encoding) movie to Bluray, it's the identical picture to the HD DVD release, BUT...

But where they release in old-style Mpeg2 (what was used on DVDs), they have been lower quality and still show some picture problems.

In some cases, A studio releases in VC1 to HD DVD, yet releases the same movie to Bluray in Mpeg2. When you compare the two reviews, they almost always mention artifacts (yechy stuff) on the Bluray version.

I found BR to OS the HD by SDP, also the HD DVD is DR or should that be DL hahahahahah no no i think BR would be better. anyway the SQ and PQ on BR are both GD oh and the MF on HD are FS to BR. does anybody else agree?
