Alright, I want to buy they Xbox 360 with the HD and wireless controller etc
Anyway, I probably won't reserve it and will wait for reviews even though I know it will be awesome.( mainly for my parents sake)
So will they just have the 360 for sale instead of all these bundles for $700? I only want a game or two to begin with, and I probably won't play some of the games in the bundle.
Also, I had a PS2 so I am not just an xbox 360 newb but a Xbox newb. Anyway, playing online with the PS2 was pretty bad. Tons of lag and losing connections, and I have a broadband connection.
So my first question about that is, on the current xbox how much lag would I get? I wan't to get Gold for live and if I am paying I would like no lag

There is practically no lag unless you somehow have a bad connection. You can purchase Core packages instead of the $700 ones, for probably $299 american with just the wired controller but you would have to buy games and HD seperately.

yes you would be able to buy the non bundeled pack one you are looking for is proabaly the premium version where get wireless controller and harddrive. This will cost you $399.00 with no games. And might have to wait to get one if you do not preorder might have to wait till even after christmas.

yes you can that is what he said up there. the premium package is cost's $400 and it comes with hd cables and wireless control and harddrive and headset and ethernet. but i don't know of any websites where you can get one so i say go to local walmart,bestbuy,gamestop or ebgames if you want to buy just the $400 package with no games and then of course choose your own games :top:
EDIT: lol did that for no reason then

Sony's online gamming's way behind Microsoft's. Xbox Live offers you almost zero lag, and solid reliability. By purchasing any of the Packaged you'll have Xbox Silver, which lets you check your friends tags and advance in games and play online in weekendsn and holidays. For the full experience, you'll need to go Xbox Live gold, they've already announced the different offers and you can chose the one that fits the best for you. Some Bundles also come with 30 day trial Xbox Gold.
I'd recommend you to Pre-Order your Xbox at Amazon if you only want to buy the System, and then your prefered games. Now that you mentioned the HD, then the Premium package is your choice hands down.
However I'd still also recommend you the EBGAmes $699 bundle. First remember that the Premium Package comes with a small remote (for a limited time) while that one gives you the universal controller for your TV, Home Theater and X360. Doing the maths, you get more from the bundle for what you pay:
You're getting the Premium Pack. ($399)
The Premium Bundle costs $699. (EB Games)
Now we are paying extra $300.
Where do those extra bucks go?
Lets see:
* 4 Games, at current-gen price = 50x4 = $200
* Plus an extra wireless controller = $50.
So far so good, we've already covered extra $250 and got only 50$ left to fill.
What else do we get?
* Play & Charge Kit.
* Rechargeable Battery Pack.
* Universal Media Remote (Lets say $10 more in value compared to the small controller than comes with the Premium Pack)
* Xbox Live Gold 30-Day Trial.
You're getting those extras for $50.
And you're in fact, paying less for each game than expected for some Next-Gen games.
It's up to you.
