For those of you who don't know, www.xbconnect.com is PC software that enables you to play System Link games over the intnernet.

I guess with the Xbox360 this will become obsolete? I am presuming MS will be making sure they protect against this sort of software so they can control all online access that the Xbox360 has.

What are your thoughts?

And why do you hope MS protects against XbConnect and other programs etc?

I dont really mind, XB Connect doesnt hurt anyone. But as soon as they design programs and apps that can exploit/destroy the Xbox thats where the big trouble is

I think XBconnect will still be used however less populated. A large portion of XBconnect and Xlink Kai is modding (assuming next-gen is modable). Without these M$ free providers, hackers would have no place to go.

Good point, also who says that Xbox will once the Xbox360 is released - there will probably always be people that use these programs
