Will my current Xbox controllers work on the XBox 360?

I have 3 so it would be nice to be able to use them once I get the Xbox360.

Cheers!

Them being wireless is not a problem - the Xbox360 controllers still have plugs for when they get charged.

Anyway, I have since confirmed that they will not work. Guess I will be selling them with the Xbox console then

There will probably be some kind of 3rd party USB to Xbox controller port adapter things.

I'm sure that Microsoft announced controllers with wires for the 360.

Correct

If you dont want to splash out too much on a second controller, you can buy a cheaper, wired controller

personally, im getting all wireless

Yeah I agree. Plus they said that the old controllers won’t work on the Xbox 360. They say that there’s more buttons. There's now 4 buttons on the front of the controller Instead of 2.

The 2 extra triggers are in replacement of the black and white buttons.

All I say was the 2 extra trigger, that's what stuck out. I didn’t pay attention to the black or white buttons.

But that doesn’t change the fact that the old controllers aren’t compatible with the 360.

we still have no word on whether or not the controllers will be compatable. but we already know there will be controller ports. wireless is the standard but there are still people who love their chords.

if you look at the front rectangular piece next to the ring of light, i think that's where you would plug in the controller.

Microsoft might even make a adapter for the old controllers too work on 360.
