Is there a way to get the patch to play iTunes purchased music on the 360 without getting it off the Xbox Live Marketplace?

The patch was to allow the 360 to play ACC files, but you can't play music that is purchased through iTunes.

Unfortunately the DMR (Digital Media Rights) on iTunes music only plays either on an authorized computer with iTunes or on a iPod that has been synced to your computer with iTunes.

The only way I can see is to burn your songs to a CD and rip them back in either ACC or MP3 format with iTunes then replace your purchases songs on the iPod with the unprotected re-ripped tunes. What I personally do is keep a back up copy of the protected ACC tracks that I get from the iTunes music store and I use a CD-RW disc that I burn the purchased music to and re-rip it back into ACC format and update my playlist in iTunes with the now unprotected music. In iTunes you can add a view column to show the Kind of file, this makes it easier to see which are protected and which aren't in your library. It should say Protected ACC file for the songs you bought off iTunes and just ACC for unprotected songs that you re-ripped back into iTunes. Some people don't like this method because you do loose some quality with this method. Unless your a huge audio nut then don't worry about it. You should have seen when you hooked up the iPod to you 360 something pop up on the screen about downloading a plug-in that will let you play the iPod on the 360, if not try it again. Then you should be set to go.
