For anyone leaning towards PS3 or not being able to make a decision. Go with the 360. I bought the PS3 on release date for more than retail price ($900 regretfully) and played it religiously ever since. I had resistance:fall of man, madden 07, and recently call of duty 3.
maybe because i have a standard def tv but likely not, resistance is not a good game compaired to gears of war, halo 2, and what halo 3 will bring to the table. there is so little to the game.
madden 07 dosnt get any better, the gameplay is so SLOW. i played the same game at my buddies house on 360 and its so much more smoother and like a true madden game. on the ps3 it's rediculous and ps3 network playing online is a nightmare.
going on to call of duty 3, wow activision sure must not like sony because they called out on a lot of features for the ps3 version. COOP dosnt even exist its 1 player throughout the whole game and even online, boo. they took out the voice talking function for online play which makes it more horrible considering cod3 is such a team game you need to communicate. and besides its so much fun talking **** online :laugh:
outside the games itself, 360 controllers look more next-gen and like an entertainment system compaired to the ps3, sony just cant grow out of the same controller. xbox live seems to just outdue the ps3 network also. i mean there is much more i just cant think about right now.
oh yeah, and obviously the price. i've already made arrangements to sell my ps3, games, accessories tommorow and purchase a premium 360, controller, and a couple games.
one question i have is I found a deal on craigslist (sort of like a local ebay) in my city thats selling everything i would buy through retail. should i be on the safer side by purchasing the 360 through retail since he's told me that it isn't a factory sealed box?
sorry for the long read but 360 is definitly the way to go and this is comming from someone who had a ps3.
