Easiest way to do wireless on your 360 is to get the official Microsoft Xbox 360 wireless adapter Xbox.com | Xbox 360 - Xbox 360™ Wireless Networking Adapter (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/hardware/x/xbox360wirelessnetadapter/default.htm)
Also if you don't have one already you'll need a wireless router. Any router should work just fine although Microsoft does have a list of "compatible" routers Xbox.com | Connect to Xbox Live - Compatible Home Networking Equipment (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/support/connecttolive/xbox360/homenetworking/equipment.htm)
Comcast has what they call Home Networking 101 I think. Basically they want to charge you for a router and to set it up for you. You really don't need to do that. Its really simple. I can't remember if they wanted what is called a MAC address or not. Basically if they need that MAC address number for your computer to get connected with them then you can change the MAC address on the router by using its web based setup page (should tell you how in the manual). Also if your PC needs a username/password you'll have to configure the router to use those as well.
But that should be all you need, a router, a wireless adapter for the 360 and maybe Comcast configuration. If I remember right Comcast will give you a Linksys WRT54G wireless router.

Here is a cheaper and easier solution (I had the same situation you have, and this works great!):
Buy a Wireless Router and Network Adapter (I bought Belkin's Wireless G and compatable adapter, about $45-$50 bucks all together). Hook up your comcast cable modem and the wireless router in the room w/ your TV & connect to 360. Hook up the wireless adapter to your computer. This way your Xbox is connected directly to the cable internet giving you more reliable and faster connection, and your computer will pick up the wireless internet.
Since Microsoft wants $100 bucks for their xbox wireless adapter, doing it this way saves you about $50 or $60 bucks...which you can instead spend on a new game!
