i think u should make a place where people can arrange games or tournaments on the weekends only (maybe just on the weekends or all the time) for the xbox 360.plz say this is a good idea. the more people that say it is, the more likely it will happen

is this not a good idea?

that'd be cool if we could all play together.

that'd bring the board a lot closer in the aspects of opinion, respect, and comrodery.

definitely a good idea.

they could add an online gaming section. This site needs it. you've got peoples xbox live names on here so why not.

This place could get fantastic advertising if you guys made a PGR3 tournament to coincide with the launch of the console, with a good prize (problem being, the range of countries). Its a good idea, we could all put links to the competition on our sigs on other forums, etc.

korp we don't want the scumbags who assosiate with Gamezville coming on to here just to spam the place.

Yeah, but the larger a community, the larger the sites get. I know we dont want some certain members on here, but its a free forum.

Kor,

We are getting a steady stream of new members on here from quality sites. I certainly do not want this site and forum to become a spam fest with GV members. Matt and myself are putting alot of effort into making this a quality Xbox360 site, we certainly would not appreciate a bunch of no mark members from Gv joining here and spoiling what we are trying to create. Please bare this in mind.

Stuie were gonna get that level of mentallity as the site grows anyway and you know it. i didn't actually mean that korp was going to use the sig on Gvgamer stuie, just mean it as a joke.

I think a proper LIVE forum would be great, maybe there could even be a planetXbox360 clan...

That's a given, but I'd rather have it later than sooner.

Going back to kor's original idea of an on-line PGR3 tournament when the system is launched is a good idea and something I'll discuss with Matt. The issue is time Zones. We are an international site and not a U.K. site so we have members from the States over to New Zealand almost covering a 20 hour time difference.

Again a good suggestion, but would need some serious planning and organisation.

Yeah PlanetXbox360 clans would be interesting, but again you need to remember this isn't a U.K. based site. In fact the owner, Matt is from New Zealand, and you have issues regarding time zones etc. Anything set up on the site needs to be available to all it's members not just certain regions.

stuie you know the problems with clans on live don't some how think it will work to well. People not turing up for training etc. Oh well but a online gaming section is needed.

Yeah, I get your point Stuie, we would get some pretty bad members.
I have seen it work on another forum, and this was advertised all over the internet, and they seem to still have a good bunch of high quality members.

But with the amount of new members arriving anyway, extra people shouldnt really matter.

On Timezones, that would be the major problem.

Thought I had better chime in...

I think this is a great idea, but as already mentioned we need to wait for more members (which are arriving very quickly now).

Also, I think we have a great group of "base" members so far, which is a very good start to things. Yes, once the site gets massive (which it will :) ) the flamers etc will come, but they can be dealt with then.

As far starting a clan, place to arrange games, we have a get together going here (http://forums.planetxbox360.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=296).

Better ways of organising Xbox Live meets will be arranged once the forum grows some more. Remember it is still early days, and this place will explode with activity once the console is launched/closer to November.

If the members we have thus far is a sign of what to expect further along, the future is looking dam bright

I think it is a great idea also to have online competitons or tournaments. I think is win win situation for fourem and will draw quality members by it.
